Ukraine: the name of the Russian general who gave the order to shell residential areas and nuclear power plants was made public

The commander who ordered the shelling of residential areas in Energodar in southeastern Ukraine, as well as the facilities of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, is Russian General Aleksey Dombrovsky.

The Ukrainian nuclear company Energoatom said on Telegram on Thursday that the name of the commander had been established.

“This military man is directly responsible for the acts of nuclear terrorism that endangered half the world. (…) General Dombrovsky is also responsible for the destruction of the nuclear power plant, as well as for the disposal of stocks of Russian weapons there. Fortunately, there was no nuclear catastrophe – about 50 missiles did not explode, although some of them hit the power units of the power plant and other buildings in the immediate vicinity ” , – Energoatom said in a statement.

The company also said that two weeks ago, General Dombrovsky in Energodar should be replaced by General Valery Vasiliev, commander of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Central Military District.

The largest nuclear power plant in Europe

Energodar is home to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, built between 1980-1986. The object was occupied by Russian troops on the night of March 3-4.
