According to the Turkish TV channel TRT Haber, between Istanbul and Sofia (Bulgaria) the railway service, which was suspended two years ago, is being resumed.
So, from today, April 25, the Istanbul Sofia Express train will depart daily at 21:40 from the Istanbul Halkali station.
The train will proceed through Bulgarian Plovdiv and arrive in Sofia at 9:35 am. In the opposite direction from the capital of Bulgaria, the train will depart at 18:30 and arrive in Istanbul at 5:34. Tickets can be bought at the stations of Sirkeci and Halkali.
