A hurricane is raging in Turkey: the wind blew away the minaret of the mosque and the roofs of buildings

In Turkey, settlements in different provinces were damaged as a result of the hurricane. In Istanbul, trees fell and the metro flooded, and in Cankiri, strong winds demolished the minaret of a mosque.

According to data received from the 4th Regional Meteorology Department, wind speeds reached 68.4 kilometers per hour in the center of Antalya and 118 kilometers at the Siglik lighthouse in the Kemer region.

A powerful tornado was recorded in Izmir. Near the Yenifocha area in Foca, it swept along the coast.

In Istanbul, a metro station in the Bahçelievler district was flooded as a result of heavy rain.

The hurricane also hit populated areas: Samsun, Korum, Kastamonu, Amasya, Sinop. Here, roofs were blown off houses, trees fell, and cars were damaged.

There have been no reports of casualties or deaths yet.
