In Thailand, night entertainment venues located in tourist areas will be able to operate longer.
Thus, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs will be able to open until 04:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, whereas previously they had to close at 02:00.
At the same time, the innovation is being introduced only for tourist areas and only in certain establishments in the provinces of Phuket, Chonburi (the resort town of Pattaya), Chiang Mai, and the capital of the country, Bangkok.
The list of bars and nightclubs that will be allowed to continue operating is compiled by the local administration. Security measures will be strengthened in these areas of the tourist zones.
The innovation became one of the measures taken by the authorities to increase the flow of tourists to Thailand.
