According to CNN, in Thailand, a snake was caught in the cabin of an AirAsia Thai airliner on a domestic flight flying from Bangkok to Phuket.
During the flight, passengers discovered a small brown and white snake in the carry-on luggage racks. Panic set in, but the flight attendants were able to catch the reptile.
According to a company spokesperson, “AirAsia staff handled the incident professionally and cleared the hazardous area of the aircraft of passengers as a precaution.” The plane landed safely in Phuket and was immediately checked by a team of technicians and security.
According to the preliminary version, the snake could have crawled out of the luggage compartment of the aircraft.
