Ukraine: Russia is demilitarizing

There is a demilitarization of Russia. This was stated by Ukrainian Ambassador to the UN Serhiy Kyslitsa at the UN Security Council, Associated Press quotes.

According to him, since the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian invaders have lost more than 17,000 military personnel, more than 1,700 armored vehicles and almost 600 tanks. He added that Russia also lost 300 artillery systems, 127 aircraft and 129 helicopters, almost 100 missile systems, 54 air defense systems and seven ships.

Kislitsa said it was “an unprecedented blow to Moscow, as Soviet losses in Afghanistan pale in comparison” to those in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council has accused Russia of causing a global food crisis and creating a threat of mass starvation by unleashing a war against Ukraine.

The “President of Russia” Vladimir Putin is the one who started the war. This caused a global food crisis. And he is the one who can stop it,” US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said during a meeting of the Security Council on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

“Russian aggression against Ukraine increases the risk of mass starvation around the world. First of all, the peoples of developing countries will suffer, ”said Nicolas de Riviere, Permanent Representative of France to the UN.

His Russian colleague Vasily Nebenzya said that “the real causes of severe turbulence in world food markets are not Russia’s actions”, but rather the “uncontrollable hysteria” of Western sanctions against Moscow.
