Chaos and screams of horror: Lightning struck the plane with his wife Matthew McConaughey

Model, businesswoman, and Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves was a passenger on a Lufthansa flight that encountered severe turbulence and was struck by lightning. She posted on Instagram a post in which she shared her impressions.

“On the flight last night, the plane crashed nearly 4,000 feet, seven people were hospitalized, everything was flying everywhere … To respect the privacy of others, this is all I show, but there was chaos on the plane and the turbulence continued,” wrote Camila McConaughey.

She added that she is now safe, and her health is not in danger.

A Lufthansa Airlines flight from Austin to Frankfurt made an emergency landing in Washington after being struck by lightning, the DailyMail reported. As a result, seven people were hospitalized.

The publication notes that “frightened passengers were surrounded by a lot of broken glass and screamed in horror when Lufthansa Flight 469 was hit by a traumatic wave of turbulence at an altitude of 37,000 feet.”

The flight landed at Washington Dulles International Airport around 9 p.m.

A passenger on board said the food “went up into the air, hit the ceiling of the plane, and even damaged it.” One of the passengers had to be taken out of the plane in a wheelchair, he was bleeding heavily.

Another person whose relatives flew on this flight said that it was “very scary, there was a lot of broken glass, screaming and numerous injuries,” writes The Sun.

The airline provided passengers with hotel rooms and offered a refund.

“Many of our plans have been ruined, our clothes have been ruined and we are looking forward to much more than just a hotel tonight,” the irate passenger tweeted.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the incident.
