“You know how to bring the perpetrators to justice”: Zelensky addressed parliament in The Hague

“The Hague, the capital of justice, knows how to prosecute those responsible for crimes in Ukraine,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a speech to deputies of the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The President of Ukraine, speaking via video link, also called on the Netherlands to close its ports to Russian ships and stop trade with Russia.

“Tyranny always loses, but for this you need to get weapons,” Zelensky said. He thanked the Netherlands for “unprecedented assistance”, asking for more arms supplies to counter Russian aggression.

He also invited the Dutch to choose a city or region in Ukraine that they would help rebuild after the war ended.

In three places in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, the Russian military again used phosphorus shells, injuring 11 residents of Maryinka, including four children, regional governor Pavlo Kirilenko said on Telegram on Thursday.

“Eleven wounded civilians of the Mariana community, including four children, were taken to the hospital in the city of Kurakhovo,” Kirilenko wrote.

The governor also called for the evacuation of civilians from the border villages. He stressed that the evacuation is temporary, and the most important thing is to save lives.

The night of the 36th day of the Russian war turned out to be the most difficult for the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions: Russian troops were supposed to shell residential areas in these regions.

In turn, in Volyn, Transcarpathian, Rivne, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Sumy, Lvov, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odessa, Tarnopol, Zaporozhye, Chernivtsi, Vinnitsa, Kirovograd and Nikolaev regions, the night passed relatively calmly.
