It became known how many hotels there are in TurkeAs of the end of August 2023, the number of hotels certified by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism was 20,168, with a total room capacity of 1,781,377 beds. We found out which provinces of Turkey are in the TOP 10 regarding room capacity.
According to Turizmdatabank calculations based on data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, the number of operating hotels in Antalya is 2,492. Their total capacity is 612 thousand beds.
In second place in terms of room capacity is Istanbul. There are more hotels here than in Antalya (2,835), but the number of beds in them is less – 239 thousand.
Next come the resort provinces of the Aegean region of Turkey. In the province of Mugla (Muula), there are 2,618 hotels with a total number of beds of 216 thousand. In the area of Izmir, there are 1,680 hotels with a total capacity of more than 80 thousand beds. Finally, in another Aegean province of Turkey, Aydin, there are 462 hotels with 55 thousand beds.
Also in the TOP 10 in terms of room capacity in Turkey are the Balikesir, Ankara, Mersin, Nevsehir, and Canakkale provinces.
