In Turkey, more than 4.55 million people were cured of COVID-19

To date, a total of 4,554,037 patients with coronavirus infection have recovered in Turkey, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

According to the agency, over the past day in Turkey confirmed another 336 deaths from the new type of coronavirus COVID-19, and the total number of victims reached 41,527.

The ministry added that the total number of registered cases of coronavirus infection was 4,929,118, another 28,997 people tested positive for the virus.

According to the Ministry of Health, 241,747 tests for COVID-19 were performed in the past 24 hours, and a total of 48,229,733 tests have been performed since the outbreak.

The pandemic began with the discovery in late December 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, central China of the first cases of pneumonia of unknown origin.

On December 31, 2019, the Chinese authorities informed the World Health Organization (WHO) about an outbreak of unknown pneumonia.

On January 30, the WHO recognized the outbreak of a new coronavirus as an international health emergency.
