Ferry service opens between Greece and Turkey

According to the Greek media, on Monday, October 10, a ferry service was opened between Greece and Turkey: the ferry transports passengers and transport between Thessaloniki in northern Greece and the western Turkish port of Izmir.

The line is operated by the MV Smyrna di Levante of the Greek shipping company Levante Ferries. It can take on board up to 948 passengers and up to 300 vehicles.

The ferry journey from Thessaloniki to Izmir takes 14 hours. Flights are scheduled to operate three times a week.
