Former US President Donald Trump has stated that he will not allow such a development in the current situation around Ukraine.
The Republican stated that “there is no reason” for the current escalation of tensions around Ukraine. “I know Russian President Vladimir Putin very well, and under Trump he would not have done what he is doing now,” he said. Trump stressed that the sanctions against Russia that Washington intends to impose “will be insignificant” compared to Moscow’s actions.
The former US president reiterated that the policies of his successor, Joe Biden, had “enriched Russia” by “doubling oil prices and soon tripled or quadrupled”. According to the Republican, the United States under Biden lost the energy independence that the Trump administration achieved.
