The incidence of coronavirus has increased over the past few weeks, so Ukrainians are beginning to get used to “living with the virus.” As scientists and doctors studied the disease, about 20 symptoms of kovid were revealed. These include runny nose, headache, odor change and loss of appetite.
The first symptom is fatigue
Fatigue was a characteristic feature of each coronavirus strain. However, doctors said that in fact the symptom is more common in women. A survey conducted by the Web MD website showed that users who answered the questionnaire from December 23 to January 4 felt different levels of fatigue. One-third of men said they did experience some discomfort, but 40 percent said they felt very tired about the coronavirus.
When the Omicron strain appeared in southern Africa, one of the main symptoms was fatigue. Dr. Angelica Coetzi, a private practitioner and president of the South African Medical Association, confirmed that the main signs of the new strain in the early stages were fatigue, body aches and headaches.
However, another expert noted that it may be difficult to determine whether fatigue is related to Covid-19, as people can sometimes attribute it to other life factors. Statistics are a stubborn thing, so relying on research figures, doctors said that 62% of respondents said they were tired during the disease.

Infectious disease expert Dr Sachin Nagrani said the condition was defined by patients as extreme fatigue caused by mental or physical stress or illness. “It’s also important to remember that in many cases, Covid-19 has no symptoms at all, and fatigue is one of the reasons it continues to spread so easily,” he said.
The second symptom is dizziness and fainting
According to a new report by German experts, fainting may be a sign of Omicron. Doctors in Berlin found a connection after a 35-year-old man was hospitalized with fainting, which later found Covid. According to them, the infection provoked fainting in the case when it is usually caused by low blood flow to the brain.
The Äztezeitung reported that doctors saw a “clear link” between infection and fainting. This may be due to three reasons: “reproducible circumstances in which fainting occurs, a clear chronological correlation of symptoms with SARS-CoV-2 infection, and the lack of properties that indicate structural heart disease.”

Some types of viral infections can cause dizziness after exposure to the inner ear and the nerves there. Patients with a long course of coronavirus have also been reported to be unconscious.
Data from Italy, Spain and Portugal, obtained from more than 14,000 patients with code, showed that 4.2 percent reported feeling weak or fainting in the early stages of infection. According to medical observations, this symptom most often affects people over 60 years.
Earlier, the DIP wrote that “Israeli scientists have found that vitamin D deficiency increases the severe course of COVID-19 by 14 times.”
