Masks have been introduced again in Spain: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urgently warned tourists about the new covid and masks

The mask mode was restarted at the popular resort. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urgently warned tourists about the new tax and the fact that masks have been introduced again, while in medical institutions. We are indeed talking about the British Foreign Ministry and one of the most popular topics among the British is Spain. For obvious reasons, there are not many Ukrainians in Spanish resorts now, but it is still useful for tourists and other citizens staying in this country to know this, since the new rules and the danger of the new COVID-19 extend to them, of course.

So, as the British publication Daily Star writes, the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued recommendations for tourists who will soon go to Spain. It reports that the Covid JN.1 variant continues to spread and Spain has re-introduced mask-wearing rules due to rising cases of coronavirus and flu.

Fortunately, so far the “mask regime” has been winning back positions very moderately. Masks are required in medical facilities. However, Spain is the first European country to return these requirements.

“Due to the increase in cases of respiratory infections such as flu and Covid, you may need to wear a mask when visiting healthcare facilities such as doctor’s offices, hospitals, or pharmacies. You should refer to the recommendations of the local authorities at your destination and ensure that you are aware of these measures,” urges the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The publication also adds that JN.1, a mutation from Omicron, has become the dominant strain of the coronavirus worldwide. Moreover, more than 10,000 deaths from the virus were registered last month. According to tradition, experts explain another outbreak by the fact that people communicated too much with each other during the holidays.
