Six people were affected by severe flooding in the Turkish Black Sea province of Riga. The Emergency and Accident Authority said heavy rains had affected the northeastern part of the province.
As a result, landslides occurred, which caused great damage. The Anatolian Agency reports that a building in the village of Murad has been destroyed.
One of the bodies was found under the remains of a destroyed building.
According to Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, the search for three more missing people continues. He is inspecting the area with Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaishmaiglu and Environment Minister Murat Kurumov.
Meanwhile, another person was found dead during a search operation in the Guneis region.
Soylo and Rize Governor Kemal Cheberya also briefed President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the situation. About 5 million Turkish lira will be allocated for the reconstruction of the region.
