The trend of European tourists reserving sunbeds near the hotel early in the morning with the help of towels continues. However, traveler Jade Peppard posted a video on her TikTok account that she found a way to find a free lounger without getting up early.
According to the tourist, Britons, and Germans who come from European countries to the resorts of sunny Spain, Turkey, or the Greek islands this summer, despite the ban on booking sunbeds, continue to run early in the morning ahead of each other to take the best place by the pool. Their calculation is as follows: a towel draped over a deck chair is a signal to other hotel guests that the place is occupied, so you can leave and not worry about having to look for a deck chair later.
However, not everyone is ready to put up with such arrogance. The girl decided not to play by the rules of other tourists, so when she came to the pool during the rest, and the sunbeds were occupied by towels and their owners were not nearby, the traveler simply threw the beach equipment to the side, thereby freeing up a place for herself. That way, she didn’t even have to get up early to take part in comical hotel races.
The footage shows the tourist lying in a sun lounger saying: “These crazy people wake up at 4:00 am to put their towels on the sunbeds only for me and my boyfriend to wake up at 10:00 am and throw their towels away.”.
In the comments, many people agreed with her method. One of them reported that he couldn’t think of anything worse than worrying about sunbeds on vacation. “My friend once took all the towels off the sunbeds, which were still empty at noon, and threw them into the pool. The vacationers didn’t say a word,” answered the second. “I give an hour to the owners of the towels, if they don’t show up, I drop their stuff and take a seat,” shared a third.
“Once at the resort, I saw people waking up at 6:00 a.m. to reserve a place, so one night when I couldn’t sleep, I put down the towel at 3:00 a.m. and left,” said a fourth.
