For many, being a flight attendant is a dream come true. Constant business trips, the romance of the sky, and communication with people seem to be ideal conditions. However, it is no secret that the profession of a flight attendant obliges you to do many things in ordinary life. About what flight attendants should not do even after hours.
To wear uniform
When an employee puts on an airline uniform, he automatically becomes its face and representative. Therefore, flight attendants are prohibited from wearing their uniforms to other events, walks, and trips to public places. If you see a uniformed flight attendant in a public place, it means he is on his way to work.
The airlines have had several incidents when employees found themselves in uniform in bars in obscene conditions. And this became the subject of discussion. After such incidents, employees were banned from wearing uniforms and accessories that could identify the airline outside of work.
Get piercings and tattoos
In order not to destroy the image of the airline, as well as to increase the confidence of passengers in flight attendants, employees are prohibited from having tattoos and piercings. And if the piercing can be hidden or removed, then things are more complicated with tattoos. If the drawing is located in a prominent place, then the girl will not be hired by the airline or asked to leave.
However, in the modern world, some airlines have become more loyal to informal accessories, tattoos, and hair color. Piercing and tattoos are not officially allowed, but a flight attendant can do colored strands if she wants to.
Get braces or wear mouthguards
Since the smile of a flight attendant is an important attribute of her image, girls with braces or uneven teeth are not hired. Also, flight attendants are not allowed to wear mouthguards, and this is due to safety requirements since in the event of an emergency they can break or the flight attendant will need time to remove them. In some cases, girls are allowed to use aligners – transparent caps that align their teeth. However, there are exceptions here, and the final word belongs to the management of the airline.
