Named the most complete attractions, where tourists can not push through

The most comprehensive sights of Europe were presented for tourists by the specialized Internet portal The Thinking Traveler. The rating was compiled by profile aggregators of reviews and social networks using the keywords “too busy”, and “do not push through”. Attention was paid to all European countries, as well as Italy, Spain, and Greece, which are most popular among tourists in the summer. Experts have also identified the most crowded beaches.

Among the top 10 attractions in Europe, which most often receive the feedback “overcrowded”, half were located on the territory of Great Britain. Which is not surprising for an English-language site. Moreover, there are as many as two of them in the top three. Edinburgh Castle in Scotland was recognized as the busiest attraction. On the second – Buckingham Palace. And only in third place – Siam Park in Tenerife.

The entire list looks like this:

  1. Edinburgh Castle, Scotland
  2. Buckingham Palace, England
  3. Siam Park, Tenerife, Spain
  4. Grand Canal, Venice, Italy.
  5. Roman Baths, Bath, England
  6. Tower of London, England
  7. Louvre, Paris, France
  8. Acropolis, Athens, Greece
  9. British Museum, London, England
  10. Orsay Museum, Paris, France

As for the most crowded attractions in tourist countries, in Italy, the Grand Canal in Venice, the Vatican Museums, and the Colosseum were in the top three. In Spain, in addition to the mentioned park in Tenerife, two famous sights of Barcelona are on the list, and the Cathedral of the Holy Family lost second place to the Boqueria market. And in Greece, the biggest crowds are not only on the Acropolis but also in the ancient villages of Rhodes and the Parthenon (parts of the Acropolis). The Greek Elafonisi in Crete, the Bournemouth beach in Great Britain, and the well-known Fig Tree beach in the Cypriot resort of Protaras were named the most crowded beaches.
