Resonance Consultancy, a consulting company in the field of tourism, real estate, and economic development, has presented its traditional rating of 100 Best Cities, which analyzes the main metropolitan areas of the world with a population of over 1 million people.
The company’s experts evaluate the cities of the world according to six main criteria. In this year’s ranking, Istanbul took the 20th line.
In the Sights and Landmarks subcategory, Istanbul was ranked 11th, just behind Barcelona.
The city also ranked 10th in the list of “Museums of World Cities” thanks to investments in Galataport, which houses the Istanbul Modern Museum of Contemporary Art (İstanbul Modern Sanat Müzesi), designed by architect Renzo Piano.
