In Italy, a tourist ordered a lobster in a restaurant for 200 euros and let it go

A Swiss tourist ordered a lobster from an Italian restaurant for 200 euros and then released it into the sea. The British edition of the Daily Mail reports this.

The girl came with her husband to the elite fish cafe Gente di Mare in Olbia, Sardinia. For dinner, we also chose a dish of Catalan-style lobster with linguine.

When the waiter brought a live lobster to weigh it and estimate the cost of the dish, the diner felt sorry for him. She asked whether the creature would suffer if it fell into the water from a height. When she was told that nothing would happen, the woman carefully took it and threw it into the sea. Note that, judging by the reviews, the restaurant is located on the embankment.

The expensive delicacy floated away. The tourist’s husband filmed the crustacean’s return to its natural habitat on his phone.

“At first I thought she was joking,” said restaurant co-owner Antonio Fasolino, who witnessed the unusual event, “but the guest was happy because she was able to fulfill her wish, and we rejoiced with her.” Other visitors to the establishment were surprised at the woman’s action.

The Gente di Mare restaurant has good reviews from visitors in aggregators and search engines. In particular, TripAdvisor ranked it #131 out of 301 food establishments in Olbia.
