Five tourists were killed and six were injured yesterday as a result of a serious off-road accident near the Turkish resort of Marmaris (Mugla district), Turkish TV channels TRT-Haber and NTV reported concerning BTA.
According to NTV, the tourists were citizens of Iraq.
The accident occurred after a jeep carrying people on a safari overturned on a road leading to the Datcha area of the city.
It is believed that the accident happened because the road was slippery due to heavy rain.
Many ambulances, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the area.
