Elevator installed in Rome’s Colosseum

The Colosseum in Rome (Italy) installed a glass cabin elevator.

Italian Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano and Director of the Colosseum Archaeological Park Alfonsina Russo, as well as film actor Russell Crowe, known for his film “Gladiator”, took part in the opening ceremony of the elevator.

The glass cabin of the elevator will allow tourists not only to enjoy the panorama of the Flavian Amphitheater and its surroundings, but also save them from having to climb 100 steep steps.

An elevator will take visitors to the gallery between the second and third floors, where a new space has been set up, made available after the restoration.
