COVID and tourism: who cares about sick tourists?

Since the beginning of August, more than 100 tourists have been infected on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Most foreign tourists realize this at the end of the holiday when they take the test to return home. Thus, foreigners have to look for a place for 14 days of isolation.

In early August, a 19-year-old Swedish tourist took a COVID-19 test before returning home. Suddenly he had to be under medical supervision, but he was a very disciplined and well-mannered boy and did not even try to leave his room, “said Stella Deyanova, owner of the Golden Sands resort hotel.

Tourists who organize their own vacation, need to find a place to live in quarantine.

“Individual tourists are already looking for a place where you can carry out home insulation yourself. If they can’t find it, they turn to their embassies, ”added CCA Yankova, Secretary General of RHI-Varna.

When organizing the stay of tourists, the tour operator will take care of them if they get sick COVID-19.
