According to the Anadolu agency, all artillery shells found in the Turkish resort of Şile in the suburbs of Istanbul were destroyed by a controlled explosion on Wednesday, August 2.
“The sappers connected the shells and detonated them in a controlled explosion. Residents of nearby houses were evacuated as a precautionary measure,” the local police said.
Recall that on Monday, the authorities of the province of Istanbul closed the Sofular beach in the resort of Şile, located on the Black Sea coast, in connection with the discovery of at least 28 unexploded shells. On Tuesday, all the beaches of Şile were already closed due to a survey of the territory. Later they were opened.
