“Terrible news”, after which a scandal broke out in the media, was heard at a meeting of one of the Turkish political parties. The head of the İYİ party, Meral Akşener, said that public houses have been organized in some hotels in the country. Moreover, the law enforcement officers do not just “crush” them: according to her, quoted by the publication Turizm Guncel, “the police chiefs have hotels and that prostitution takes place in these hotels.”
“Let me tell you something more interesting. I follow him very closely because I am a former minister of internal affairs,” – according to the publication, she began her scandalous speech at the opening of a consultation meeting in Istanbul.
Then she made that scandalous statement, saying that in Turkey, including in popular resorts, “there are police chiefs who own hotels,” and brothels were organized in these hotels. She also specified that orphan girls are involved in prostitution “and not only” there, so there is no one to raise a scandal. “But we are against it and will not tolerate it,” added the head of the party.
