A poisonous monster came to the resorts of Turkey from the beaches of Egypt

Summer temperatures of +40 in the resorts of Turkey led to another problem – a “poisonous monster” from the Red Sea, from the beaches of Egypt, arrived and settled in the Mediterranean. We are talking about the puffer fish, also known as the puffer fish. It is already found even in Istanbul, as well as Izmir. Moreover, it began to be found everywhere along the coast of the Aegean and Marmara seas.

We remind you that schools of puffer fish in Antalya were warned in the summer of 2022 (read here). Uninvited guests due to rising sea water temperature have made a long way from the Indian Ocean through the Red Sea in Egypt to the Mediterranean. Several hot years in a row have led to the fact that fish have taken root on the resort coast of Turkey. Moreover, as the Turkish publication T24 notes, because its catch is poorly paid by the state, fishermen are less willing to accept this work, and as a result, the fish population in the sea increases.

Therefore, if earlier it was believed that the fish would not cause much harm to tourists, now the Turks publish a warning just in case. All types of puffer fish are poisonous, they cannot be eaten and it is better not to touch them, they can cause serious injuries.

Let us add that this is not the only dangerous sea migrant on Turkish beaches. Jellyfish, dangerous for humans, also migrated from the Red Sea. Read details here.
