A flight attendant “mined” a flight to prevent her ex from flying to Miami with his new girlfriend

Aerolíneas Argentinas flight attendant Daniela Carbone disrupted a flight from the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, to Miami (USA), hoping to prevent her ex-boyfriend and his new lover from flying there together.

As Insider writes, the offended 47-year-old woman announced a bomb planted before the plane was scheduled to take off on May 21, 2023.

“Tell the captain that we planted three bombs in him. Stop meddling in politics and check the plane, because it will explode into a thousand pieces,” said Carboni’s message on the cell phone she took from her daughter. The woman also used special software to distort her voice.

In addition, Carboni blackmailed the pilot in charge of the flight, threatening her daughters.

Buenos Aires airport security police arrested the woman the same day she reported the bomb threat. She is now accused of aggravated coercion, public intimidation, and obstruction of public service. If Carbone is found guilty, she faces up to six years in prison. Also, she has already been fired from Aerolíneas Argentina.

Local newspaper Clarín notes that 270 passengers had to be evacuated from the plane due to this message, and as a result, Aerolíneas Argentina lost about $1 million in revenue due to the postponement of flights. At the same time, Carbone’s ex-boyfriend named Picho, and his current girlfriend worked as flight attendants on this flight.

Carboni and Picho were in a relationship for five years. The woman decided to report the bomb on board because she couldn’t bear that Pico had dumped her for another younger flight attendant, several airline employees told Clarín.
