Russian troops left the north of Ukraine. Returned to the country and to Belarus

The British Ministry of Defense, citing information obtained by intelligence, said on Twitter that Russian troops have completely withdrawn from northern Ukraine to Belarus and Russia.

At least part of the Russian forces will be transferred to the east of Ukraine for military operations in the Donbass, writes the Ministry of Defense.

The massive shift to the northeast is likely to take at least a week. Before that, it will also be necessary to replenish stocks.

The ministry said Russian troops were continuing to shell cities to the east and south and that Russian forces had advanced south of the city of Izyum, which was under their control.

Huge destruction

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that, according to the conclusions of the Ukrainian authorities, the situation in Borodzianka is much worse than in Bucha, where victims of crimes committed by Russians were discovered a few days ago. After the retreat of the Russian troops, the search for the ruins of Borodzianka began, where most of the residential buildings were destroyed as a result of shelling.

In a speech published online, President Zelensky emphasized that the actions of the Russians pose a threat to the freedom and security of all peoples.

– Russian troops are the biggest threat to freedom, security and human rights on the planet. After Bucha, we began a search in the houses on Borodzianka, and it is already clear that the situation there is even worse and there are more victims from the Russian occupiers,” the Ukrainian leader said. He also recalled that the Russian Federation was suspended from participation in the UN Human Rights Council, and called for further support for Ukraine.
