Russian forces are holding positions in several places in eastern Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said at a briefing late last night, DPA reports.
According to Ukrainian generals, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have attacked the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region and taken up positions in the small town of Lozova, the main railway station in the Kharkiv region.
In addition, Russian forces are expanding their positions in the Green Valley of Donetsk region.
It is also possible that they regained their position in the town of Stepove, Donetsk region, the General Staff said.
