Kyiv was awarded the special title of the best city in the world in 2023 according to the International Agency Resonance.
“The historic Ukrainian capital is a beacon of courage and resilience that leads a recalcitrant nation against a brutal aggressor,” says the message on the agency’s website.
At the same time, London (Great Britain) officially took first place in the ranking, followed by Paris (France), New York (USA), Tokyo (Japan), and Dubai (UAE) rounded out the top five.
In general, the ranking includes cities with a population of more than one million.
As the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko noted in his Telegram channel, experts also noted the significant development of the city’s infrastructure over the past 10 years – the creation of new parks and squares and the improvement of old ones, putting parking in order, updating the rolling stock of municipal transport.
As reported by DIP, the previously popular travel portal Lonely Planet included the international train “Kyiv – Chisinau – Kyiv” from “Ukrzaliznytsia”, launched in November 2022 after a 24-year break, in the list of the best railway routes in Europe for 2023.
