European Council President Charles Michel has arrived in Kyiv on an unexpected visit, according to Reuters.
“I am in Kyiv today. In the heart of democratic Europe,” Charles Michel wrote on Twitter, posting a photo of himself at a train station in the Ukrainian capital.
Earlier this month, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also visited the Ukrainian capital to express her support for the country in the fight against the Russian invasion, the agency reminded.
