Kyiv does not rule out an offensive by the Russian Armed Forces from the territory of Transnistria

The Russian Armed Forces are concentrating their main efforts on complete control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine. This was reported on Wednesday by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The threat of the use of sea, air and land-based missile weapons remains.

The Russian army strikes at the objects of the defense complex, logistics infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities.

At the same time, attempts are being made to improve the tactical situation in the South Buzh direction.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not rule out that the Russian command could use the territory of Transnistria controlled by the separatists to support an offensive operation in this direction. Attention is drawn to the fact that preparations for receiving aircraft are being carried out at the Tiraspol airfield.

At the same time, the command of the RF Armed Forces may leave part of the forces on the territory of Belarus to constrain the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and prevent the transfer of forces to other directions.

In the Donetsk direction, the RF Armed Forces are trying to improve the tactical position of their units. Attacks continue in the areas of Popasnaya, Stepnoye, Novotoshkovskoye, Rubizhnoye, Severodonetsk and Solodkoye settlements.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops continue to actively use ammunition prohibited by international humanitarian law.

Do not leave attempts to storm Mariupol. The defenders of the city have been holding a heroic defense for more than forty days, holding back the superior forces of the Russian troops.

“As a result of the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military lost control over the settlements of Dobryanka, Novovoznesenskoe and Trudolyubovka. Fighting is going on in the area of the village of Aleksandrovka, ”the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

On the night of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in the Ukrainian Donbas.

Following this, the Russian army attacked Ukraine. Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, were subjected to missile and bomb attacks.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in response that martial law was introduced throughout the country.

The Ukrainian leader also announced a break in diplomatic relations with Russia.

The Kremlin’s actions were condemned at the UN and in most capitals of the world.

Tough sanctions have been imposed on Russia.
