The Spanish government has announced that the largest consignment of military equipment for Ukraine will soon arrive in the country after a ship with 200 tons of military cargo was moored in a port in Poland, according to the Associated Press.
The Spanish Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the ship has arrived in Poland.
Spanish newspaper. “Pais” reported with reference to the Polish port authorities that the ship was moored in the port of Gdynia, where military equipment will be unloaded and transported to the logistics base in Ukraine, located about 700 kilometers.
The cargo includes 30 trucks, several special heavy vehicles and about 10 small vehicles that will be used to transport military cargo to Ukraine, the Spanish Prime Minister explained.
Last week, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced deliveries during a visit to Kyiv, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Military equipment arrived in Poland on the Spanish ship Isabel, which is 149 meters long.
“This is the largest supply in history, more than twice our previous military supplies,” Sanchez said.
Earlier, Spain sent 1,370 anti-tank grenade launchers, 700,000 machine gun stores, as well as an armored ambulance and medicine.
