Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused the United States of obstructing peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.
According to him, the Ukrainian side constantly changes its position and refuses its own proposals. Lavrov saw the intervention of Washington in the behavior of the Kiev authorities.
“The Americans simply proceed from the fact that it is unprofitable for them to complete this process quickly. They want to continue supplying Ukraine with weapons. There are provocative statements about the transfer of Soviet MiGs from Eastern Europe to Ukraine,” he said.
The Russian foreign minister has warned that sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine could lead to a direct clash between Russian and NATO forces. Lavrov suspects Poland of plans to send troops to Western Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to take part in the G20 summit, which will be held in Indonesia at the end of this year. This was announced by the Russian Ambassador in Jakarta after calls by some members to exclude Russia from the group of 20 largest economies. The event is scheduled for mid-November in Bali, according to BNR.
“Not only the G20, many organizations are trying to expel Russia. The reaction of the West is absolutely disproportionate,” Ambassador Lyudmila Vorobyova said at a press conference in the Indonesian capital.
