A five-star hotel in Mallorca originally rewarded an inventive tourist who got involved in a “war for sunbeds” on the side of the hotel. The tourist, who “cleaned” the sunbeds from the towels that were used to occupy them, was given a uniform, that is a hotel uniform, which gives the right to do this officially. However, it is worth noting that the rules of this hotel prohibit the use of sunbeds. So, the fight against taking over sunbeds has reached a new level.
The tourist himself found it amusing. According to the Spanish press, tourist Garfield spent his vacation in a five-star hotel in Majorca. And at some point, it pissed him off that he could rarely find a free sun lounger to relax on. “We have been on vacation for several days and there was no way we could occupy a sun lounger by the pool. Everything was taken up with towels – and at the same time, there were signs around asking not to borrow sunbeds. Finally, it made me angry – especially since my wife has a disability and it is not very easy for us to go looking for a sunbed,” said the tourist.
As a result, he decided to take matters into his own hands. “On the fourth morning, I went down and took off all the towels on one of the sunbeds. And they were repeated the next morning. And I noticed that the hotel employee was watching me do it,” the tourist said. And the next morning, the employee surprised him with a gift – the tourist was given a hotel uniform. “It made me and what I was doing kind of official. And when angry tourists approached me, I ignored them and pointed to the signs that do not allow you to occupy sunbeds,” the tourist added. He also said that the gift greatly pleased him and “made his vacation unforgettable.”
It is not surprising that the hotel decided to award a voluntary employee. We will remind you that in some places hotel employees are actively involved in the fight against lovers fighting for sunbeds. However, such methods as closing the door leading to the pool do not stop the “crazy” – recently, tourists complained that as a result, a real queue lined up at the closed door, ready to rush, as soon as access to the desired pool was opened.
As a result, here and there, hotel employees are doing the same thing that the tourist was doing. It was also recorded in Mallorca. The hotel employee probably got tired of watching the selfish behavior of tourists who occupied sunbeds, leaving them empty for a long time, and began carefully removing them from the sunbeds and packing them into bags. So he released several sunbeds for other vacationers.
These actions were depicted by the traveler John McGowan, who rested in this hotel. The man immediately published a video clip from the social network and signed “Justice won today”. Users dubbed the staff member the towel police and praised him for taking revenge on tourists who occupy sunbeds by the pool in this way. Read details here.
And when there are no such employees, tourists have fun themselves. And in the most extravagant way. Three such originals became famous on TikTok. “When wars for sunbeds go to another level,” one of the tourists captioned his video. “We are three parents, and during the vacation, we started to get sick of sunbed eaters, and we united to take revenge,” the blogger added. For this, as the author of the video added, three tourists had to “slip away from the security service” at three in the morning and create their “masterpiece” on the hotel’s football field. There, three tourists built a high pyramid of sunbeds, and towels and other things, which the “fighters” used to occupy sunbeds since the evening, were placed on the very top of the pyramid.
“In the morning, the pool was surprisingly quiet and the early awakenings stopped. These fools were not ready to get their things from the top of the pyramid,” the blogger added with satisfaction.
