Federal Minister of Economy Robert Habek has activated the early warning phase of the so-called emergency plan for gas supplies due to the deteriorating situation with the impending supply, the German TV channel ZDF reported.
“Currently there are no supply problems,” Habek said this morning. “However, we need to strengthen precautionary measures to be prepared in the event of an escalation by Russia.” This is the first of three levels of crisis in Germany, and it does not impose any restrictions on public supply.
This is for prevention, – Habek explained. “It is important to emphasize that security of supply is guaranteed,” he added.
