Denmark has identified COVID extremism as a threat

The Danish Internal Security Service called the pandemic “anti-government extremism” a threat, according to the Associated Press.

In its annual assessment, the agency said that while this type of extremism is not a “significant driver of the terrorist threat” in the country, it makes the situation “more difficult.”

He cited examples of government criticism of anti-war measures in threats in Denmark and examples of “planning or carrying out actual violence” abroad.

However, he assessed the threat of anti-government extremism as low.
