Bulgaria introduces a ban on takeoff / landing and entry of Russian aircraft into the airspace of the country. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
All aircraft licensed by the Russian Federation may not enter the sovereign airspace of Bulgaria, including airspace over territorial waters.
The ban comes into force from 00:00 on February 26, 2022.
This measure was taken in connection with the escalation of the military conflict and as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine, the ministry said.
