One of the Balkan countries is increasing air traffic with Russia, despite the sanctions

Despite EU sanctions against the Russian Federation, Serbian air carrier Air Serbia plans to add 19 new weekly flights to Russian destinations such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kazan, the SchengenVisaInfo portal reports.

It is noted that from March 31, Air Serbia will operate more flights to 15 destinations, including Russia, which will further strengthen air connections between the two countries.

“Serbian flagship carrier plans to add to its routes destinations to Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kazan, flying 19 planes to the Russian capital from Serbia every week,” the message says.

It is noted that after the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, Air Serbia, under pressure from the European Union, announced the reduction of flights to Moscow.
