South Korea launches digital visa for nomads

South Korea plans to introduce a digital nomad visa in 2024, allowing remote workers to live in the country for up to two years.

A new K Culture Training Visa is also expected to be introduced, aimed at attracting young people who want to delve deeper into Korean culture.

The requirements for the digital nomad visa have not yet been announced, but it is expected to become available in the second half of next year.

The government is aiming to make it easier for foreign tourists to visit South Korea by developing English-language guides and transportation booking tools using artificial intelligence.

The goal is to attract 30 million tourists annually and reach $30 billion in tourism revenue by 2027.
