A letter with three bullets addressed to Pope Francis was found by the staff of the sorting center near Milan, the newspaper Corriera della Sera reports.
The envelope also contained a report on the Vatican’s financial transactions. The letter was confiscated from the carabinieri, and the police launched an investigation.
According to ANSA, the letter was sent from France.
