Tokyo Olympics: American swimmers break world record

Today, Celebi Dressel led the United States to a new world record and a gold medal in the 4×100-meter relay.

The US team of Ryan Murphy, Michael Andrew, Dressel and Zack Apple touched the finish line in 3 minutes 26.78 seconds, beating their own mark of 3:27.28, set in 2019.

Great Britain took second place with a result of 3:27.51, and Italy – third with a result of 3:29.17.
