The British Ministry of Defense has published the latest intelligence findings regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The published report says that the advance of Russia in the south of the country is slowing down logistical problems and Ukrainian resistance.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian troops are regaining territories east of Kyiv and are trying to force the Russians out of the direction northwest of the capital; in southern Ukraine, the advance of Russian troops towards Odessa is slow.
“Ukrainian counterattacks and the withdrawal of Russian troops on overburdened supply lines allowed Ukraine to retake towns and defensive positions up to 35km east of Kyiv, the airport at Gostomel,” the daily newsletter wrote.
“In southern Ukraine, Russian forces are still trying to bypass Mykolaiv, heading west towards Odessa, but their advance is slowing down due to logistical problems and Ukrainian resistance,” he added.
