Online shopping platform Amazon has collapsed and halted Christmas shopping for thousands of Britons, the Daily Mail reports. Problems with the site began around 12 noon and were detected by the Down Detector.
According to the publication, thousands of Britons were affected. Problems were found both on the website and in the Amazon app.
An investigation by the Daily Mail found that after selecting multiple items, it was impossible to complete a purchase from the platform due to “abnormally high traffic on the site.”
Frustrated shoppers have started a debate on Twitter, Nova TV reports.
One of them asked the company: “Did you forget it’s almost Christmas or are you going to blame it on COVID again?”
