A British police officer who falsely arrested a woman for violating coronavirus restrictions and then abducted, raped and killed her was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday, BGNES reported, citing AFP. Such sentences are rare in the British justice system.
Judge Adrian Fulford told 48-year-old Wayne Kazenza that his crimes were “grotesque” after he abducted his victim, Sarah Everard, in south London in March this year.
