The United Nations will provide another $ 40 million from the Central Emergency Response Fund to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told reporters.
“Today, I am announcing that the United Nations will provide another $ 40 million from the Central Emergency Response Fund to increase vital assistance to the most vulnerable. This funding will help deliver food, water, medicine and other necessities to the country, as well as provide financial assistance,” Guterres said.
The UN Secretary General believes that the prospect of nuclear conflict in the world has become possible.
“The prospect of a nuclear conflict, which was previously unthinkable, has now returned to the realm of the possible. It is also necessary to maintain the safety of nuclear facilities,” the secretary general told reporters.
