The UN has accused Russia of actions in Ukraine that are tantamount to war crimes.
This was announced by the High Commissioner for Human Rights Michel Bachelet, Reuters reports, quoting the BNR.
“Russian forces are indiscriminately shelling and bombing settlements, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools and other civilian infrastructure,” Bachelet said.
Observers have confirmed more than 5,200 civilian deaths since the start of the war, almost all in Ukrainian government-controlled areas. Only 8 percent is in the region of separatist republics in Donbass.
