UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres does not believe that Russian missile strikes on Kyiv during his visit to the Ukrainian capital were a message to him personally, DPA reports.
“The secretary general does not think the attack is related to him. He really took it as a sign. But not out of disrespect for him, but for the people of Kyiv,” said UN spokesman Farhan Haq in New York.
The United Nations has expressed its condolences to the family of Vera Hiric, a journalist who died in the attack.
