Loosening anticovid rules await tourists in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. According to media reports, the press service of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), DCT has officially updated the entry protocol and the list of COVID-19 restrictions for foreign tourists.
The new rules are as follows:
- Fully vaccinated travelers no longer need to take a PCR test before boarding a flight. Upon arrival in the emirate, they must present only an official COVID-19 vaccination certificate with a valid QR code.
- Unvaccinated tourists will still be required to present a negative PCR test 48 hours prior to their scheduled departure or a COVID-19 recovery certificate dated 30 days prior to departure with a QR code. acting.
- Young tourists under the age of 12 are exempt from presenting these certificates.
“It should be noted that the PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport is no longer mandatory for travelers, regardless of their vaccination status. However, tourists are advised to go through this procedure to activate the Green Pass in the Al Hosn app. We remind you that Green Pass will provide access to many indoor attractions of Abu Dhabi, such as shopping malls, theme parks and restaurants,” – added in the department’s office.
The mask mode is also weakened: wearing masks outdoors is no longer mandatory, this requirement is maintained only indoors. Social distance is no longer required.
