Antalya rejoices – the number of tourists continues to grow. At the same time, most of the necessary hotels are already filled – and are entirely sold until October – hotels stand one by one on the stop. In general, at the main Turkish resort, they hope that the season will last until mid -November. Such a prognosis of local media was voiced by the governor of Antalya Ersin.
“At August 17, the number of tourists exceeded 8 million. We have increased seriously in the number of tourists compared to the same period last year. By the end of October, the vast majority of hotels are mostly filled, especially the most popular. I hope we will finish the season well,” said the governor of Antalya. He also added that the tourist season was getting longer – last year the active arrival of tourists lasted until November.
“From July to October at the resort of Antalya, the peak months in which we accept the largest number of tourists. Last year, the season lasted until November 15. About the same picture is expected this year,” Mr. Pomiji added.
The head of Antalya also added that, compared to last year, there were significant changes in the distribution of countries that send tourists to Antalya, and alternative markets began to develop. At the same time, “very serious growth” is noted in European countries – yes, there is a serious increase in tourists from Poland and the Netherlands “returned” Israel, the number of tourists from which has been seriously reduced compared to the previous year. “The number of tourists who came from Russia and Germany as a whole is very close. At the same time, as long as Germany is the first place,” Mr. Pomiji added.
